Kitchener-Conestoga Campaign
Overview
In a riding that is consistently among the closest in the country, I worked as a Multimedia Designer and Communications Strategist for Kitchener–Conestoga’s winning federal campaign. Collaborating closely with the candidate and core team, I led creative strategy and developed content that helped earn voters’ trust, build name recognition, and turn support into votes. From video and messaging to digital and print design, my work translated campaign goals into clear, compelling voter touchpoints.

Video Production
Video helps translate campaign messaging into something people can feel and remember. I led the production of five campaign videos from concept and script writing through to filming and editing. These included the candidate’s launch, midpoint, and closing videos, an issue-specific piece, and a closing message inspired by national communications. I crafted each video to tell a story, connect with voters, and speak to the issues that mattered most in this election and riding.

Marketing Strategy
Support can be contagious. In a close race, it’s critical not only to mobilize core supporters but also to create visible momentum that influences undecided and hesitant voters. I developed and designed a set of strategic campaign materials, including “Canada Strong” lawn signs that allowed voters to align with the Liberal Party’s patriotic message without displaying a partisan sign. I also designed double-sided “Canada Strong” and “Tim Louis” placards for a Mark Carney rally, giving attendees from across ten ridings an easy way to show support while ensuring that our candidate’s name stood out clearly in photos and media coverage.

Visual Design
Visual design plays a powerful role in how people connect with a campaign. To make that connection more tangible, I created a fundraising email that tied contribution levels to campaign efforts, helping donors see precisely how their support makes a difference. Throughout the campaign, I designed a wide range of materials, from social media graphics and printed literature to signage and apparel, ensuring every visual touchpoint felt consistent, compelling, and on message.
